In 1915, Dr. Woodson founded the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History. Learn about his legacy, which includes the creation of Black History Month and ASALH, a thriving history society.

A panel discussion will include historians Jelani Favors of Clayton State University and Pellom McDaniel of Emory University. A signing of Dr. Favors' book, Shelter in a Time of Storm: How Black Colleges Fostered Generations of Leadership and Activism will follow the discussion. Refreshments will be served.
