Special guest storyteller Jerry G. White will lead an interactive family storytime filled with songs, fingerplays, rhymes, and more. He will read his book Anansi and the Colorful Kente Cloth.
DeKalb County Public Library will join more than 100 public libraries and bookstores across the Atlanta metro area who are hosting storytimes for the Read Across Atlanta event.
The collaborative parade of stories celebrates the debut of the storytime show for WABE's youngest listeners, The Podcast Where They Read Stories. The simultaneous storytelling sessions, coinciding with National Reading Month in March, present a vibrant celebration of literature and community spirit.
The DeKalb County Public Library special storytimes will feature LaDoris Bias Davis at the Scott Candler Library at 10:00 a.m., Jerry G. White at the Stonecrest Library at 10:00 a.m., and Ellen Gadberry at the Tucker Library at 11:00 a.m. Attendees will receive a free book.
