Death Cafés are free pop-up events that provide a safe and confidential space for people to discuss anything and everything related to death while eating cake. Led by Chaplain Mark LaRocca-Pitts.

Death Café's objective is "to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives."
They are not intended to be grief or bereavement groups, nor are they intended to be lectures or workshops. Death Café hosts have found through experience that talking about death does not kill you. Death need not be a taboo or morbid topic. Death Cafés are not for everyone, but for those interested and for the interesting few who want to find a place to discuss death with other interested and interesting people, it is nearly ideal. As one "regular" noted as to why she keeps coming back, "It's the best conversation I have all month."
