The Arabia Alliance is looking for historic images for a photographic history of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area.
This Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend, help uncover some local history. Staff from the Arabia Alliance are looking for rare, vintage and historic images, and WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The Arabia Alliance is compiling a photographic history of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area. We’re looking for historic images of daily life, work and Civil Rights strife in Lithonia, Conyers, Covington, Arabia, Stone and Panola Mountains and the quarrying industry, Bruce Street, Flat Rock, Lyon/Lyons Farm and the Klondike Corridor to include in an upcoming book to be published as part of Arcadia Publishing’s bestselling Images of America series.
Have vintage photos, postcards or maps of local history? Then please bring your images to the Stonecrest Library at 3123 Klondike Rd, Stonecrest, GA 30038 and we’ll scan them that day!
Can’t make it that day? No worries! Reach out to Communications Manager Jeff Dingler at jeff@arabiaalliance.org.
