Grand Talks and Tea Workshops are monthly workshops designed to provide information and support and empower grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. Light refreshments will be served.
Led by Chiquita Clay, founder of the R&R Alliance, Inc., these workshops will equip grandparents and kinship caregivers with the skills and knowledge to support their grandchildren's academic and emotional well-being. The range of topics include: Navigating school systems and building communication with teachers, Understanding curriculum, standardized testing, and academic goals, accessing educational and community-based services, legal and guardianship rights, and more.
