The Durban Declaration and Programme of Action (DDPA) was adopted by the United Nations at the 2001 World Conference against Racism in Durban, South Africa. It serves as a global blueprint to combat racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, and related intolerance, addressing historical injustices like the transatlantic slave trade, protecting marginalized groups, and advancing equality for people of African descent.
