Join us for an outdoor program and celebrate Autism Awareness Month with stories, crafts and information. Spaces available to the first 12 registered participants.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, about 1 in 44 children have been identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ASD is reported to occur in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups and is more than 4 times more common among boys than among girls. We will read a story or two featuring characters affected by autism, create art using the symbol of Autism Awareness, the puzzle piece, and have information on hand for those who are wanting to know more about autism.
