Join use for a discussion of The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates.
The Water Dancer is a transcendent work of historical fiction that follows young Hiram Walker, who was born into bondage. When his mother was sold away, Hiram was robbed of all memory of her—but was gifted with a mysterious power. A brush with death births an urgency in Hiram to escape from the only home he’s ever known.
Copies of the book will be available at the Decatur Library Circulation Desk on a first come, first served basis.
