DeKalb County Public Library welcomes children’s book author Kelly Starling Lyons at the Wesley Chapel-William C. Brown Library.
Many of her books have garnered awards, accolades and honors, including the Caldecott Honor for Going Down Home with Daddy. Kelly also writes for chapter book readers. Her Jada Jones series has earned praise for celebrating an African-American girl who loves science, friends and family. There’s also the early reader series that features Ty and all of his many travels. Attendees will have an opportunity to have a book signed from selected titles by the author provided by the DeKalb Library Foundation.
