Emergency Kit Preparation and Fire Safety Workshop

Covington Library Meeting RoomDEMA and DeKalb Fire Rescue will give a presentation on what should go in your emergency kit, and empowering seniors who live independently but are vulnerable to fires and falls within the home.
Learn valuable life-saving tips and safety topics including: cooking safety, heating alternatives, fire safety for traveling, it's electric, hoarding and fire risks, smoke alarms, fall prevention, exploring extinguishers, batteries and devices, having an escape plan, and much more. Facilitated by the Public Education Specialist from DeKalb County Fire Rescue Public Education Unit.
Each attendee will receive a complimentary weather radio.
