In this series, kids will learn how to identify and reduce triggers, recognize the early signs of an episode, manage symptoms, use a peak flow meter, and create an action plan.
This is a four-week course by the American Lung Association, led by certified program facilitator Inuka Midha, PhD, MPH, MCHES®. To receive a Certificate of Completion from the American Lung Association, participants must attend 3 of the 4 sessions. This health management course is offered in joint partnership with the American Lung Association, DeKalb County Board of Health, and DeKalb County Public Library. Participants will also receive an asthma flow meter and other supplies to help manage their asthma health.
